We continue our Shaftesbury Fringe preview as Annette Gregory tells us about her forthcoming jazz-influenced show at the Arts Centre on 27th August at 7pm.
Annette’s vocal style is similar to Norah Jones, but she says she has been influenced by many singers. “Ella Fitzgerald said what she did was to find the best of everything and take a bit of everything,” says Anette.
She’s covered some well-known numbers including ‘Streetlife’ and ‘Stormy Weather’. But Annette is really looking forward to performing one of her own songs – a special tribute to her mum, who died recently.
