Quite simply, so the Fringe can take place!
-
Shaftesbury Fringe is a not for profit company
-
It has no external income, so is funded solely by a combination of sponsor and registration fees
-
It is run entirely by a team of 9 or 10 unpaid volunteers, with 40 or so more drafted in over the weekend
The money collected pays for the following
-
Fringe infrastructure
-
Road closure and its marshalling
-
All signage, including building our Fringebury Towers for displaying artist posters around the town.
-
Town decoration, banners, flags etc.
-
Toilets and bins on Park Walk
-
PRS and licence for Park Walk
-
- Insurance
- Organising venues and connecting performers with spaces.
- Production of the printed programme, app, website, social posts and IT facilities for the team.
- Supporting and promoting the venues and performers.
Your registration fee doesn’t go into anyone’s pocket – it goes straight back into making Shaftesbury Fringe happen for Shaftesbury.
